Teen & Young Adult Therapy

Therapy for Teens & Young Adults

The years between adolescence and early adulthood can feel uniquely unmooring. Identity, relationships, family, school, career — often all at once, with the added pressure of appearing to have it together. This is a space to set that down.

I work with teens and young adults who are sorting through what they're carrying and trying to come into a clearer sense of who they are. No timeline, no agenda except yours.

What we can work on together

The concerns I see most often include anxiety, depression, and overwhelm — academic pressure, identity and gender exploration, family conflict, relationships, and the specific exhaustion of measuring yourself against everyone else online. Transitions too: leaving home, starting college, entering the workforce, figuring out what you actually want.

If what you're dealing with isn't on that list, that's fine. Most of what matters doesn't fit neatly into categories.

How I work

I don't talk down to teens, and I don't push young adults to have it figured out. Sessions are collaborative and honest — I meet you where you are and move at your pace. I draw on trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and IFS-informed practices, shaped to what actually helps rather than a fixed protocol.

Our first few sessions are about getting to know each other and working out what you actually want from therapy. From there we build tools, work through what's hard, and create room for the parts of you that haven't had space yet.

For parents

I work directly with the teen or young adult themselves, with confidentiality held as the therapy relationship requires. I'm happy to talk with you about what to expect and how family involvement can support the work — just reach out.
